Lauren has always had a passion for hair! She’s been passing pins to her hairdressing mother as early as 6 years old and started her apprentice at 15 , she soon focused her passion on pretty up dos, occasional hair and bridal styles.
Her first full bridal party was at just 16 and started up Plaits and Pin Curls at just 20; she’s since gone on to win first place national awards and compete on international stages, her works been published in The Times Magazine and published by platforms like Vogue and HJI since starting her own bridal hair business and still loving it 9 years later .
We love making people feel good! It’s that simple, beautiful hair for special occasions.
Lauren loves being creative and making your hair look its very best!
And yes, thin hair, thick hair, curly or straight –
honestly if you have hair, you want an awesome style ; were in!
I never thought I’d run my own business at 20 , but the more I went for interviews at salons the more I realised I wanted to just take care of brides, I wanted to travel to them and take the stress out of such a special day !
So Plaits and Pin Curls was launched, and I’ve been so grateful for all the support and love shown towards a under female 30 business – I’ve since been ‘women in business awards’ finalist, 3x winner of the national HMUAwards and an international finials at HJ bridal hairdresser of the year award – I’ve had such fun, and its wonderful to see my hard work paying off.
