It brings me immense joy to have achieved prestigious accolades like the NMUA 'Best in Bridal' national titles, an international runner-up recognition from Hairdressers Journal for the 'Bridal Hairdresser of the Year Award,' and regional honors from the HBA. Some of these recognitions involved submissions of my work, gathering feedback and votes from brides, while others required me to showcase my skills on stage in front of judges. I am forever grateful for each award and deeply appreciative of everyone who has supported me on this journey.

Recently, I received an award from HBA, The Hair and Beauty Awards, ranking in the top 40 for educational excellence. It was my first time nominating myself for an education award, and I am truly honored and grateful for this recognition.

Accredited Bridal hair education
Upon completion of my Adult Education Training Level 3 (AET), I successfully applied to ABT to offer accredited bridal hair classes, courses, and education. Following the verification of my lesson plans, training manuals, and workbooks, I achieved accredited educator status.
Best Bridal Hair- East Midlands
I felt immensely honored to receive first place in the entire East Midlands and be recognized as the best in bridal hair at the Hair and Beauty Awards in 2023. This prestigious award involved submitting detailed photo evidence, reviews, and completing extensive forms for anonymous judges to determine the top performer in the field. Winning this online award for the first time filled me with amazement and pride, knowing that my hard work had been acknowledged in such a competitive category.
Women in business awards
In 2018, I had the honor of being a finalist in the rising star category at the Women in Business Awards. I never considered myself a traditional business person; rather, I saw myself as a stylist with a clear objective. It was quite surprising to find myself competing with numerous talented women to have my small business recognized and appreciated.
It was a humbling experience that inspired me to continue pursuing my passion and striving for excellence in my one-woman business venture.
LONDON FASHION WEEK
Working backstage at London Fashion Week styling hair for a fabulous designer was a dream come true. Seeing my hairstyling creations on the runway was a major life goal for me, and the fact that Vogue featured it made it even more special. The experience was hectic yet fulfilling, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to check this off my bucket list!
HJ BRIDAL HAIRDRESSER OF THE YEAR AWARD
Working with or near Hairdressers Journal, a magazine that has become a bible to many, and being among the top 5 in an international competition with my work featured on HJ stage was a true honor and achievement. The unforgettable experience of Salon International and being backstage marked a proud moment in my career as a hairstylist. These moments are cherished and inspire me to reach even greater heights in my profession.

National NBA awards at Hair & beauty UK
Experience more live competitions by participating in the NMUA awards at a prominent national hair and beauty show held at the NEC. I returned the following year and clinched 1st place! This achievement has earned me three national awards in bridal hair, editorial work, and best in show. These competitions, with strict timing and live judging, were intense and nerve-wracking. Reflecting on those days, I realize how young I was then! Nevertheless, I take immense pride in these accomplishments as they boosted my confidence, provided valuable learning opportunities, and enabled me to receive constructive feedback on my styling techniques – something invaluable when you are self-employed.

As I mature, late nights and long competition days are losing their appeal. This year is dedicated to educating others, spreading my love of bridal hair to stylists and learners.
